This statement by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, captures the essence of our organization, our mission and our more than 40 year history.

Helping Hands Resources is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that gathers donated clothing, bedding and household items and provides them to anyone in need at no charge.

During 2008 over 30,000 individuals benefited from our services and resources. Over 17,000 of those were children.

Our financial support comes from a United Way Community Care Fund grant, as well as, donations from individuals, churches, civic organizations and businesses in the Salem community.

Hours of Operation: 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon daily EXCEPT Friday, Sunday and holidays.
